How in the world did these guys come up with this amazing idea!? Breakout Escape Rooms is an escape game company owned and operated by entrepreneeurs Jeff Ciuzicki and Dan Shutz. Their journey began humbly, one day, Dan's office manager Jeff from his telecommunications
business played one of the original vanilla escape games in New York while on vacation. He shared the experience with the office staff and within minutes Dan jumped in and said 'Oh my gosh that sounds like a blast, we have to do this but make it a circus theme'. The very next day they built a plan and started working on it. That was us in 2014, Dan and Jeff, then Opened the first escape game in Michigan debuting the original game 'The Ringmaster's Den'.

Where are you located?
We are located two blocks east of downtown Royal Oak on 4th St. Directly across from the Royal Oak Brewery and a short walk to many restaurants and bars. Click for directions.
Is your business handicapped accessible?
Yes! We do have an elevator and large private accessible restroom. Our Ringmaster's Den and Zombie Roadhouse are escape rooms that are very easily accessible to wheelchairs.
Is there parking?
Yes! Breakout has parking in the VFW parking lot across Troy St from our building. HOWEVER, If there is a festival going on in town that parking may be full and you should plan extra time to park in a nearby parking structure. Depending on the time of your arrival, there may be a $4 donation to park in the lot.
What should I bring to play a game?
Yourself, your friends, and your wits. Food and/or drink is not allowed in the game room. Smartphones are allowed, but pictures and/or videos are strictly prohibited in game environments. We also ask that unless it's an absolute emergency do not text, call or email or message while in game rooms.
